The World
Major Arcana · XXI
- completion
- fulfillment
- wholeness
- accomplishment
- integration
You have arrived — a cycle is complete, and you are whole in a way you were not at the start. The World shows a dancing figure encircled by a victory wreath, the four corners of creation witnessing the achievement. This is the card of fulfillment and integration: a long journey reaching its natural end, everything that was scattered finally coming together. Pause and take in how far you have come. Celebrate the accomplishment fully, let it be complete, and know that every ending of this kind is also the doorway to a wider new beginning.
You are close to completion but something is not yet finished. Reversed, The World can mean loose ends, a delayed ending, or a goal almost reached that still needs one more push. It may feel like a chapter that will not quite close, or a sense of incompleteness even after arriving. Find the missing piece — the last effort, the overlooked detail, the closure you have been avoiding — and give it what it needs. The finish line is right there.
Symbolism & imagery
A dancing figure floats within a great laurel wreath, a wand in each hand, wrapped in a light sash. In the four corners appear a man, eagle, bull, and lion — the fixed signs framing a world made complete and whole.
